There hasn’t been enough pig stories in the world. And, quite frankly, we’re disappointed. The Three Little Pigs had their fun and Miss Piggy’s been around for a while. But there’s a call for a piggy super slot star. And that call has been answered by EyeCon as it gives us a new snorting hero on its five reel, 25 payline outing, Pig’s Feast Slot.
Perhaps taking inspiration from the likes of Kung Fu Panda, the pig on this slot is a cheery little porker, filled with smiles (and lots of food). There’s also a Far Eastern feel to the slot as it’s set inside a delicate Chinese eatery. At first we thought the feast was actually a spit-roasted pig (but we were just hungry). The fact of the matter is, we’re joining the pig for its feast. We watch on as the food symbols – Dumplings, Spring Rolls, Rice Bowls, Teapots and Soup spin away and act as the high paying symbols.
With each winning combination we get a little “dum dum dum dum” sound effect to signify our win. The bigger the combinations, the longer the sound effects – but we won’t try replicating that here. To the right of the reels sits a stack of bowls, which we see stack up and down. If we get 17 of them then the Firework Bonus is triggered. So listen out for the sound of stacking bowls too. Set the game to autoplay and it’s easy to sit back and watch tantalising food symbols appear on screen, while listening out to the sound of delicious wins.
The Female Pig symbol is the Scatter and when she appears three, four of five times anywhere on the reels, she triggers the Dumpling Pick feature. We then enjoy either two, three or five picks where we can pick a prize, each of which could award us up to 100 times our bet! We’re liking her a lot more than Miss Piggy already. The male counterpart also triggers Free Games when he appears three, four or five times, awarding us with 15, 20 or 25 Free Games. He also acts as the slot’s Wild. And not to be outdone by his partner, he also comes to life during the Fireworks Bonus.
This is triggered when 17 dumpling bowls stack up on the right side of the reels. The Male Pig then appears to the right of the reels, strapped in fireworks like he’s an extra pig actor in The Expendables. He laughs heartily as various boxes of fireworks blast off, each of which can blast multipliers our way, with the chance to win up to 500 times our bet. Once the explosions are over, we get one last laugh and it’s back to the main game.
Pigs are symbols of luck and wealth in Chinese culture. Which is rather fitting for the Pig’s Feast slot. We get the chance to feast ourselves – on free spins, multipliers and a whole load of dumplings. Anyone with a penchant for pigs, Chinese culture or generally awesome slots, will love tucking into Pig’s Feast.
