Next West Ham Manager Candidate-by-Candidate Breakdown

Slaven Bilic -4/5

Bilic is a surprise to see at the front of this West Ham manager race. Dismissed from the position in 2017, he has since managed West Brom and Watford, but nothing has stuck. He is a popular choice with West Ham supporters and we are sure they haven't forget he got them to 7th in 2016.

Nuno Espirito Santo - 2/1

Just sacked from Nottingham Forest, Nuno is a free agent and looking for another managerial gig. He guided Forest to their first Europa League qualifications in 30 years, plus Forest placed top table for a number of seasons. Will he be able to do the same at West Ham if chosen?

Frank Lampard - 3/1

Lampard is getting noticed through his efforts at Championship club Coventry/ They reached the play 0ff's last season and continue to dominate this season. We aren't surprised to see him in the running. Although he didn't have that much success as Chelsea manager, is West Ham a better fit?

Edin Terzic – 5/1

Terzic represents that continental flavour that excites some fans but worries others. At 5/1, he’s firmly in the mix. West Ham want to establish themselves in Europe consistently, and Terzic has that on his CV. But can he handle the grind of away trips to Burnley on a rainy Tuesday night?

Southgate - 9/2

Fresh off his England stint, some fans see him as a safe pair of hands. Others worry his cautious style would drain all the fun out of the London Stadium. Still, his experience, man-management and calmness under pressure make him the bookmakers’ favourite. If you like stability over fireworks, Southgate ticks the box (though Hammers fans rarely like stability, do they?).

Micheal Carrick - 5/1

Carrick is coming from a three-year stint at Middlesbrough that came to an end this summer. He has history with the club as he began his football career there, so we could see why fan's are excited he's in the mix. his possession based football and attacking style of play could be exactly what West Ham need.

Kieran McKenna - 15/2

Probably one of the most sought-out managers of this year. McKenna has been in the mix for a lot of team's manager odds. With an incredible run at Ipswich, his tactical based approach is really what excites people about how he plays football. His love for a 4-2-3-1 structure makes him one to watch in this mangerial race.

Gary O'Neil

O’Neil proved at Wolves he can punch above his weight, and his stock keeps rising. The West Ham next manager odds show punters respect his tactical nous, especially when budgets are tight. At 4/1, he’s one to watch, particularly if the board want a younger, hungrier boss who’s not afraid of hard graft.

Sean Dyche – 6/1

Dyche always appears in these lists, doesn’t he? The odds next West Ham manager market gives him a fair chance at 6/1. You know exactly what you get with him: organisation, grit, and a love of 4-4-2. Not exactly champagne football, but you can’t argue with his record at keeping teams afloat.

Ralph Hasenhüttl – 10/1

Hasenhüttl knows the Premier League from his time at Southampton, and that gives him credibility in the West Ham next manager market. At 10/1, he’s a longer shot, but his high-energy style could fit the squad nicely. Still, memories of 9-0 losses may make some Hammers fans nervous.

Final Thoughts: West Ham Manager

The West Ham next manager odds show just how wide open this market really is.
