Released back in 2015, the original Dazzle Me is an enduring favourite for slots lovers. Played across an unusual game board with five reels of increasing size, the game’s timeless gems theme and dazzling bonus features made it an instant hit. Now this venerable classic of the slots landscape is back in the only way that makes sense in 2021 – with a Megaways makeover! Netent have bolted an entire extra reel onto Dazzle Me Megaways, bringing the total to six, and this, combined with the signature Megaways feature of variable symbol size, means that this game can reach up to a whopping 99,225 ways to win.
Pros & Cons
- A faithful upgrade to a classic
- Will appeal to fans of the original and newcomers
- Dazzling Wild Reels guaranteed to land on each Free Spin
- Lacks the horizontal extra reel typical of Megaways games
- Free Spins can’t be retriggered
- No really innovative ideas on display
How to Play
The interface of Dazzle Me Megaways has been updated a little from the original slot, but it should still be pretty familiar to longtime fans. In particular, the chunky green buttons of the old version have been replaced with a sleek and modern-looking transparent control panel, and the Level and Coin Value selectors of the original have been replaced with a pop-out stake selection menu. Once you’ve picked your wager, it’s a simple matter of pushing the big spin button to set the reels rolling. Just like in the original Dazzle Me, you’ll need to match symbols from left to right to complete those winning combinations, but Netent have mixed it up by including their Avalanche feature, which removes the symbols of winning combinations and allows new symbols to fall into their place and unlock even more wins.
Dazzle Me Megaways’ symbols are a mixture of old and new. The shiny Seven and golden Bell symbols that online slots fans know and love are back as the game’s two best paying symbols, but right beneath them are two new additions in a ruby red Heart and an emerald green Four-Leaf Clover. Rounding out the standard symbols are a sextet of glittering jewels in a variety of colours and shapes. Four of these last symbols are new additions, while two – the Green and Purple jewels – are straight out of the original Dazzle Me slot. The Dazzling Wild Diamond symbols, which fill entire reels and can substitute for all symbols except scatters, also make a return, though with the welcome addition that this time around the Dazzling Wild Reels can and will appear during the Free Spin feature. And how do we get to the Free Spin feature, you ask? Well, that would be with the last of the game’s symbols: the Free Spins Scatters.
Dazzle Me Megaways has a single Free Spins game and Dazzling Wild Reels which can activate at random during any spin.
