ELK Studios has got form when it comes to releasing Christmas-themed twists of its popular Online slots. The Swedish studio’s Taco Brothers Saving Christmas is a twinkling example. So when ELK announced that it was set to release it’s 99 payline Ho Ho Tower Slot with a festive theme, online slots fans danced with yuletide glee. Gameplay
When we fire up Ho Ho Tower, we are greeted by the Hong Kong skyline that this game celebrates. Only this time, the snow is falling and the feeling is festive. Some of ELK’s most famous characters pop up to greet us and wish us Merry Christmas. Wild Toro is there, as is Electric Sam and Pepe, the smoothest of all the Taco Brothers. No doubt they will all be on the Christmas punch as soon as we start spinning these reels on the hunt for wins across the game’s 99 paylines (I’ve got 99 paylines and a win on one – hit me!).
Along with this Christmassy intro, ELK treats us to a full festive makeover during the game. Snow falls throughout, and the Christmas carols that accompany our gameplay are cut through with the occasional honk from the traffic zooming below. The 7s, Lotus Flowers and Bonsai Trees that made up our high symbols in the original game are back, though given an appropriate Christmassy makeover. The Bonsai Trees look particularly cute adorned in tinsel. But our low symbols are now replaced by Candy Canes and Sweets. Sugary. But it is the Mystery Symbols that act as our surprise Christmas gifts that can bring us cheers for all to hear.
Bonuses
The legendary Wheels of the Sky bonus feature is back! Three, four or five Yin Yang Bonus Scatters launches the feature, at which point we are whizzed up to the snowy top of this Ho Ho Tower like Santa himself has transported us in his sleigh. Should we make it to the third bonus wheel and scoop Ho Ho Tower’s impressive jackpot (we are talking 3,016x our stake) it will be like all our Christmases have come at once. That said, though, we can also take some tidy coin wins back to the base game just by adding them up from the first bonus wheel. We have three lives to get there. Let’s make them count.

ELK’s Christmas-themed nouse makes you wonder why more online slots developers don’t bring out Christmas editions of all their slots.
