Who doesn’t love a heist? But a Slots heist reminiscent of Ocean’s Eleven with an animal twist? It’s got online slots gold written all over it. The slots studio responsible for such a treat? Gameplay
Ocean had eleven, Lake has five. Such is the set up in this slot’s intro, an intro that doesn’t go as full on epic as the trailer for this release, or others of ELK’s recent online slots. But it gets us where we need to be. The 70s. We are looking to rescue Lily, the town’s favourite monkey, from the evil Mr. Romano and scoop some of his loot to boot. Elmer the elephant, Alf the alligator, Pete the parrot, Genie the goldfish and Mike the Monkey accompany Mr. Lake the, err…moose.
Mr. Lake’s accomplices make up our high paying game symbols, appearing stacked across the five reels and four rows that deliver 178 Ways to Win. A Diamond in a goldfish bowl and a Doctor’s Bag make up the remaining symbols and, with ELK including its trademark Betting Strategies options, we have plenty to keep things fresh in the base game. As for Mr. Lake himself, as the ringleader he takes his place as our Wild and our Scatter, peeking out from behind the Game Logo Scatter to become Walking Wilds.
Bonuses
ELK has used Walking Wilds to great effect before, not least in its award-winning Wild Toro and Wild Seas slots. Here, Mr. Lake appears from behind the Game Logo Scatter to become Wild when we land two Game Logos on reels 1, 3 or 5. He then walks down the reels, step by step and spin by spin, completing Wild wins as he goes. But should we land another Game Logo, Mr. Lake will emerge to make three Wilds/Scatters and trigger the Lake’s Five Free Spins feature.
