Eyecon Games, the Aussie studio that brought us fun and unfancy slots like Fluffy Favourites and Fluffy Too, returns with White Wizard Slot, a five reel, 25 payline Slot game that is instantly recognisable as an Eyecon title. Gameplay
The White Wizard slot is eerily quiet until we score a winning combination of symbols across the game’s 25 paylines. The now old fashioned slots win arcade sounds accompany every win, which may or may not put you off playing with the sound on. But Eyecon livens up the game when our Wizard Wild appears on reels 1, 3 and/or 5 to substitute for all game symbols except Scatters and complete winning combos. He waves his arms in a wiggly dance, with bright white energy flashing in the palms of his hands. Not only does he score us wins from nowhere, but he also triples any wins that he completes. Magic.
Our regular high-paying game symbols are very much what we might expect from a wizardly slots adventure. The Cauldron, Spell Book, Unicorn and Wand tell of magical tales of yore. The much more standard 9s through Aces that make up our lower-paying game symbols, on the other hand, tell of a slots studio that doesn’t fancy putting the effort in when it comes to thinking outside the box. No matter, for they keep our base game ticking over and keep us in the hunt for those bigger wins and Free Spins bonus feature.
Bonus Features
The plump-looking Dragon Scatter is our key to launching the White Wizard Free Spins feature. It appears on any reel and is accompanied by the fun peep of a trombone, allaying any fears we might have had about being eaten or having fire breathed all over us. Instead, landing three, four or five Dragon scatters launches 15, 20 or 25 free spins, respectively. Unlike some of Eyecon’s other marquee online slots like Fluffy Favourites, we don’t enjoy any additional win multipliers during the bonus round. But we can re-trigger the feature up to 15 times, which would certainly find its way into our own tales of slots yore if it were to occur.
