Ahoy, me hearties! ELK Studios brings Anne Bonny to life, a real 14th century pirate who stole from conquistadors and gave wealth back to Caribbean islanders. Wild Seas Slot is a five reel, 178 Ways to Win Online game release in which we must brave stormy wild seas to win treasure. Gameplay
ELK Studios’ recent slots releases have all featured epic intros – Kaiju, Poltava and the award winning WIld Toro are all excellent examples. ELK’s design team has done itself proud once more with the introduction of this slots hero, Anne Bonny, and its villains – the French, English and Portuguese armadas. Bonny takes her place as the game’s top-paying symbol, while the different coloured Captain’s of each armada make up the rest of the top payers. Gold, Silver and Bronze Coins chip in as the lower-payers.
A suitably adventurous soundtrack accompanies our spins, and a Wild Pirate Ship braves the seas as both the game’s Wild and Scatter. Appearing on reels 2 and 4, landing one will see it substitute for all other game symbols. Landing two will do the same, but will also launch the two-level game’s bonus game.
Bonuses
With one WIld Ship on reel 2 and another on reel 4, we launch the Break the Convoy bonus. Now, a coin spins to determine which armada we are chasing down – and which high symbol will accompany Anne Bonny as the bonus feature’s only two high symbols. Four Wild Ships appear on the fifth reel and sail back towards reel 1 – but we aren’t far behind them. Our pirate ship chases down the armada ships and blasts one per spin, turning it into a Sticky Wild for a single spin. Each ship has three lives. If we sink one ship before it gets off the reels, we trigger the second level of the bonus game – the Loot The Treasure bonus. Now, on top of the loot we have seized from the first bonus level, we must shoot treasure chests floating in the sea to turn them into Sticky Wilds. We keep blasting our cannons indefinitely – or until we blast an explosive barrel to finish the bonus game.
Summary
ELK has done it again! Following up on the success of Wild Toro, Wild Seas is another excellent ELK slot release with Wild in the title. And with good reason. Anne Bonny makes these seas more than Wild and choppy. The two-level bonus game gives us plenty to aim for, as do the armada Captains. Top it all off with a soundtrack that the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise would be proud of and we have ourselves an epic adventure of a slot release. Why are pirate-themed slots the best? Because they arrrgh!
