Gonzos Quest Slot
Last Updated
One of NetEnt’s most popular Slots, Gonzo’s Quest has it all. An intriguing storyline, an iconic slots mascot, eye-watering graphics and the Free Falls Bonus feature which is hugely rewarding. If you haven’t played it yet, a) where have you been? And b) you’re in for a treat. And even if you have then you know how great this slot is!
- Rewarding Free Falls feature.
- Superb visuals that have stood the test of time.
- Nifty Multiplier meter.
- No giant jackpots.
- RTP is similar to other slots.
- A lot on screen.
How To Play
Before you get stuck into the action, check out the introductory cutscene. It introduces you to Gonzalo Pizzaro and his quest for the treasures of El Dorado. You join him as he searches through Mayan temples but while he searches for treasure, you’re the one that gets the real rewards. Gonzo appears on the left of the screen as a slots mascot, similar to Monster Madness.
At the bottom of the screen you’ll see all the betting options, spin button and the information button which reveals any more game info you need to know. The top right of the screen shows a Multiplier meter which fills on every winning spin. Instead of the reels spinning like on a conventional slot, Gonzo’s Quest uses Avalanche Reels, so they fall from the top. This is similar to cascading reels on Crystal Rift and other slots, as they keep on falling as long as you keep creating winning combinations (albeit maxing out at x5 multiplier during the base game).
Symbols
To keep in theme with the slot, all the symbols are based on Mayan mythology. They’re hieroglyphic in nature and you’ll see seven different main game symbols, all of different colours and depictions. For instance, there’s a bird like creature on the blue symbol and a mask on the purple. Just like real-life ruins, they can be hard to make out! The Wild symbol is the Question Mark and the Free Fall symbol is the shiny gold mask.
Bonuses
With the Avalanche system in place, you don’t need lots of bonus features to land big wins on Gonzo’s Quest. Perhaps that’s why NetEnt settled for its one unique Free Spins round instead.
