East Sea Dragon King Slot
Last Updated
NetEnt whisks us to the underwater kingdom of the East Sea Dragon King in this Oriental slot. The game features NetEnt’s pioneering Cluster Pays™ mechanic, which the Swedish studio put to such excellent use in games like its Streetfighter II: The World Warrior and began with its award-winning Aloha! slot.
- High max payout.
- Expanding Wild feature creates big cluster wins.
- Symbols appear stacked to help score clusters wins.
- No dedicated bonus feature.
- No additional multiplier for Wild wins.
- Hard to distinguish between lower paying symbols.
Unlike those two releases, NetEnt uses a traditional 5×3 reel setup but utilising Cluster Pays. We match symbols that appear in clusters of five or more, while every Wild we land triggers the Expanding Wild feature to help form cluster wins with the aid of Respins.
How to Play
In its more recent slots NetEnt has opted for a single total bet toggle, rather than its traditionally favoured coin value and bet level interface. However, the East Sea Dragon King slot makes a return to the classic bet interface, which slots like Gonzo’s Quest used to such great effect. All this means is that you need to be aware that selecting the Coin Value toggle next to the Spin button plays that amount of coins, but if you raise the Bet Level to the left of the Spin button you multiply the coin value by the bet level to increase your bet further.
Clicking Max Bet takes your total bet up to level 10 on the coin value you have selected. When you have selected your bet simply hit the Spin button to play, or use the auto-play options located next to the Spin button.
Symbols
As East Sea Dragon King is an under-sea adventure it is no surprise that NetEnt uses nautically themed symbols as the highest paying symbols. The Sea Dragon of the game’s title is the top-paying symbol, awarding the top payout of x10,000 our bet when we land full stacks across all reels. Golden Treasure, a Map and Clam with Pearl make up the remaining higher payers. Slots fans will no doubt recognise the lower-paying symbols from playing NetEnt slots in the past.
The gold, silver and bronze Coins that make up the lower payers aren’t the ones that will lead to the biggest payouts in this game, but they nevertheless keep the gameplay ticking over. The East Sea Dragon King is the game’s Wild, and while it doesn’t add any extra multiplier it is the symbol that will lead to the game’s biggest payouts (see bonuses section below).
Bonuses
While the East Sea Dragon King slot doesn’t feature any dedicated or randomly-triggered bonus features it does utilise in-game Wilds and Respins to boost win potential.
