Featuring a total of almost 800 episodes spread across multiple TV series, as well as novels, comics, video games and more, there’s no doubt that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is a modern media phenomenon. With the appropriately titled CSI: Crime Scene Investigation slot, developers Skywind Group aim to do justice to this most prolific and well-loved of media franchises. The opening video, featuring scenes from the show set to a rousing guitar track, makes it clear that this is a premium production befitting a TV classic, and it has the slots action to back up its polished presentation, with stacked symbols, Wilds, and two epic bonus games.

Pros & Cons

  • Worthy homage to a classic TV show
  • Exciting and thematic bonus rounds
  • Free spins can be infinitely retriggered
  • Fairly high minimum bet
  • Theme might lack appeal for anyone who isn’t a fan of the show
  • Relatively low max win of x5000

How to Play

Once you’ve finished basking in the glory of the opening video, select your stake using the Plus and Minus symbols beneath the board, then tap your finger (or click your mouse) over the blue fingerprint scanner to set the reels rocking. You can set up to 99 automatic spins with the Autoplay feature, or turn on the Turbo Mode if you’re the type who likes to cut through the red tape and crack the case as fast as possible. Like in most online slots, wins are unlocked by matching symbols along the game’s 50 paylines from left to right. You’ll need three of the Tools symbols in a row to win, or just two of the stacked Character symbols.

Symbols

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s symbols come in three groups: Characters, Tools, and Specials. All of the symbols are depicted in a sleek modern style that sets the game apart from more traditionally themed crime-fighting slots like Sherlock of London. The Character symbols are the highest paying and can stack to fill entire reels. Shift Supervisor Jim Brass is the highest paying symbol of all and can reward you with up to 100x your stake for 5 in a row. The Tools symbols represent a CSI’s essential equipment, including Gun, Magnifying Glass, Bullets, Petri Dish, Test Tube and Torch symbols. These are lower paying than the Character symbols, but can still reward you with up to 15x your stake for 5 Guns in a row. Finally, the two Special symbols are the Wild Crime Scene Tape symbol and the golden Badge Scatter. The Tape symbol will substitute for all symbols except the Scatters, which unlock CSI’s bonus rounds.
