Tetris Extreme MegaDrop
Last Updated
Tetris has to be one of the most played handheld games ever. Originally released in 1984, it has thrived and evolved into this superbly playable instant win casual game from Scientific Games. It uses a cluster pays mechanic and features an excellent betting range, base game win multipliers, a free spins feature and three separate jackpots.
- Three separate jackpots to aim for.
- Line win multiplier boosts winning clusters up to x50.
- Chance to win jackpots playing a classic video game.
- No choice to rotate the Tetriminos.
- Need 9 Tetriminos in a cluster to win.
- Have to clear 15 lines to trigger the bonus game.
It also boasts the classic Tetris theme tune, which, to anyone from the Millennials Generation, is reason enough to fire this casual game up and start clearing those lines.
How to Play
As with any online slots or casual games, the first thing to do is select your bet level. This is done very easily thanks to the Total Bet toggle beneath the game board, either click left to decrease or right to increase your bet. You will recognise this mechanism from other Scientific Games slots like Anubis Wild Megaways, and is a feature that doesn’t require us to do any line-per-bet calculations. Press the spin button to release the Tetriminos, which fall from the top of the board as they do in Tetris. Unlike the classic video game, though, we have no control over the brightly coloured Tetriminos.
They land in place as they are, making clusters and lines as they do. Complete lines disappear, allowing more Tetriminos to fall and land. You score wins by landing nine or more Tetriminos in a cluster. Any lines you complete fill up the multiplier meter to the left of the gameboard. Filling up the meter completely awards a x50 multiplier for a winning cluster, while scoring one extra triggers the Free Spins bonus game.
Symbols
The Tetriminos are the game’s symbols, and appear in various shapes as they do in the classic game. They land on top of each other, and any that form complete lines from left-to-right disappear. Rather than award payouts based on the colour of the symbols, Tetris Extreme MegaDrop is similar to Beehive Bedlam Reactors in that it awards payouts based on the size of clusters formed. These payouts are dependent on your bet, varying from x0.05 to x4 your bet. You can earn multiple wins from multiple clusters, and with 70 spaces on the gameboard it is possible to score two top payouts of 25+ clusters in any one game.
Bonuses
Tetris Extreme MegaDrop boasts an in-game multiplier plus a dedicated Free Spins bonus feature and three Jackpots.
