How to Play
While the original slot may have looked like a Gonzo’s Quest rip-off, the sequel has been vastly improved. Instead of Jim acting as a mascot on the side, he’s now integral to the story, featuring in animations and cinematics when bonus features are activated. Before you get to all of that though, you can take in the setting of an Egyptian landscape. Sand in the background (a lot of sand) and a temple front and centre set the scene as an Egyptian online slot, but the unique reel and payline structure and bonus features do enough to set it apart from the competition. You see directly inside where the five reels are clearly displayed. The buttons appear in a vertical row on the right of the screen all depicted by icons, such as an arrow for spin, coins for betting and the ever-famous hamburger menu button for the menu. On the left of the screen is the Win Booster, which is explained further below. Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx benefits from Avalanching Reels, so each time matching symbols form wins across a payline, they explode and more symbols fall down from above. This helps you to create more wins and enjoys an advancing multiplier as you go.
Symbols
As it’s all about searching for hidden treasures, the symbols match this theme. Gemstones in various colours – Blue, Green, Red and Orange appear as symbols, along with Treasure Chests, Pots and Ancient Books. Jungle Jim himself is the most treasured symbol, giving you 1, 2.5 or 10 times your stake for three, four of five appearances.
