Leap Gaming’s virtual sports offering continues with Virtual Greyhounds, proving yet another excellent game to add to its virtual sports collection. As with other games in Leap’s Virtual Racing series like Virtual Horses, you can access any of the other virtual sports games if you want a break from the greyhound racetrack to switch up to another form of racing.

Simply place your bet – win, place, each-way, forecast or tricast – and sit back and watch the race unfold on screen with incredible lifelike graphics that take us to the side of the racetrack.
How to Play
As with Virtual Greyhounds sister games, we have access to the other virtual sports games in Leap Gaming’s Virtual Racing series through the dashboard. When you open the Virtual Greyhounds game you are immediately faced with the greyhound selections. Unlike Leap’s Virtual Horses game, we only have six greyhounds to choose from. Though this means you effectively have a better chance of winning thanks to a smaller field, it also means that only second place counts as a place in an each-way bet. Make your selection to add it to your betslip.
If you have selected an each-way bet you have the option to bet each-way for double your stake (which will result in a lower payout if your dog comes second), but if you have selected a single bet you don’t have an each way bet option in the betslip. You can also choose to bet on forecast or tricast – which dogs will come in the top two or 1, 2 3 – for higher payouts.
Symbols
The greyhounds that race in Virtual Greyhounds are ultimately the game’s symbols, and each one is a different colour and boasts a different number. However, the colours of the greyhounds tunics aren’t like the bright jockey silks in Virtual Horses and aren’t always the easiest to see. Thankfully, we have a progress bar at the bottom of the screen to accompany the commentary so we can follow our greyhound as he races along the track. Each greyhound has his own odds, which are multiplied by your stake.

The payouts in Virtual Greyhounds depend on the bets you make. There are a selection of bets that can see us earn higher payouts at greater odds.
